These CNC-machined Richlite scales for the Knafs Lander 2 offer a clean and understated look while maintaining excellent durability for everyday carry use.
Unlike one-off experimental sets from the From the Workbench Collection, these are a repeat production item that Mountain Path Design plans to keep available in small batches as inventory allows.
🔷 About These Scales
Material: Black Richlite
Fitment: Knafs Lander 2
Finish: CNC machined with a clean matte texture
Richlite is a durable paper-based composite material made from layers of recycled paper and resin compressed under heat and pressure. It offers a smooth feel in hand while remaining lightweight and stable.
These scales are precision machined in my Utah shop and designed specifically for the Knafs Lander 2 platform.
✋ Contoured for Comfort
These scales are not completely flat.
A subtle contour was machined into the outer surfaces to slightly round the edges and improve comfort in hand during use. The result is a cleaner transition into the palm with a more refined feel compared to traditional flat scale designs.
The contour is intentionally subtle—maintaining the slim carry profile of the Lander 2 while improving overall ergonomics.
⚙️ How They’re Made
Each set goes through a hands-on process in my Utah shop:
• CNC machined for accurate fit and clean geometry
• Carefully finished for a consistent surface texture
• Subtle contouring added for improved ergonomics
• Matched as a left/right set
• Small-batch produced and inspected before shipping
While these are repeat production scales, each set is still individually machined and finished in-house.
🔩 Hardware Compatibility
These scales were designed with a shoulder hole height that lands in the middle of the various Lander hardware combinations.
Because screw lengths can vary slightly between different Lander models and hardware revisions, these scales were designed to work with as many combinations as possible.
In the event your existing hardware is slightly too long or too short, replacement hardware kits are available directly from Knafs.
