Give your Knafs Lander 1 a distinctive new look and feel with custom CNC-machined, contoured Python Canvas Micarta scales, made in-house at Mountain Path Design.

These scales are machined from quality canvas micarta sourced from Masecraft Supply, featuring alternating layers of Black, Natural, Brown, and Red. They're produced using the same proven CNC machining programs developed for my custom G-Carta scales.

The contoured profile provides a comfortable, shaped grip while revealing the unique layering and color transitions within the material.

Designed for everyday carry, these scales combine an eye-catching, multi-colored material with precision machining and small-batch craftsmanship.

Python Canvas Micarta is made from layers of canvas fabric bonded together with resin, creating a durable composite material with a distinctive layered appearance.

The repeating sequence of Black, Natural, Brown, and Red creates a complex pattern that becomes especially noticeable when the material is machined into a contoured shape.

As the CNC machining removes material at different depths, the layers are exposed in flowing lines and color transitions, producing a pattern reminiscent of python snakeskin.

Each set reveals its own variations in the material's layering, making every pair visually distinctive while maintaining the same overall design and fitment.

Unlike the one-off sets in my From the Workbench Collection, these scales are part of Mountain Path Design's regular small-batch production and may be manufactured again as materials and demand allow.

Each set goes through a hands-on machining and finishing process in my Utah shop:

• Quality Python Canvas Micarta material is selected and prepared for machining
• Material is carefully oriented to highlight the multi-colored layering and provide a complementary appearance across the set
• Precision CNC machined with a contoured profile, using the same proven programs as my G-Carta scales
• Edges and surfaces are finished for comfortable handling
• Left and right scales are matched into a complete set

The contoured geometry is designed to provide a comfortable grip without adding unnecessary bulk, while showcasing the unique color transitions within the material.

🔩 Fit & Hardware Compatibility

These scales are designed specifically for the Knafs Lander 1, using the original mounting locations and general factory geometry.

The contoured design follows the same machining geometry used for MPD's G-Carta Lander 1 scales.

The shoulder hole height is designed to accommodate a range of factory hardware combinations. However, screw lengths can vary between different Lander 1 configurations.

If your existing screws are slightly too long or too short, replacement hardware kits are available directly from Knafs.
