This listing is for CNC machining a set of Lander 1 scales from G-Carta material that you purchase directly from G.L. Hansen & Sons and ship to Mountain Path Design.
G-Carta is known for its bold layered colors and unique patterns. When machined into knife scales, these materials create a one-of-a-kind look that cannot be replicated with standard production materials.
Example G-Carta materials are shown in the photos in this listing.
How It Works
1️⃣ Place your machining order
Purchase this listing through the Mountain Path Design store.
This reserves your machining slot.
2️⃣ Order your G-Carta material
Visit G.L. Hansen & Sons (G-Carta) and choose the material you would like for your scales.
For Lander 1 scales, please select:
1/4" thickness material minimum that will accommodate qty 2 blocks that are 3.8" x 1.2"
This ensures there is enough material for proper machining.
3️⃣ Add your MPD order number
When placing your G-Carta order, add your Mountain Path Design order number in the order comment / note field.
A screenshot is included in this listing showing exactly where to enter it.
This allows us to match your material shipment with your machining order.
4️⃣ Ship the material to Mountain Path Design
Enter the following shipping address when placing your G-Carta order:

Once the material arrives, your order will be added to the next machining batch.
5️⃣ We machine your scales
Your G-Carta block will be CNC machined into a finished set of Lander 1 scales and shipped to you ready for installation.
Production Schedule
Orders are batched and machined together.
Machining runs are typically scheduled 1–2 times per month, depending on the number of orders received.
After placing your order, Mountain Path Design will communicate the estimated batch timing and expected completion window.
This batching process allows us to efficiently machine multiple custom sets while maintaining consistent quality.
